In 2006 Jay returned to the West Coast, where he had spent most of his childhood before moving to his birth province of Ontario. With friends and family in the Insurance Industry, he finally succumbed to the long-time lure of Claims Adjusting and joined Scott & Associates as a junior adjuster in August of 2006.

With over 20 years experience in the Financial Systems and Automotive industries, Jay brings broad experience in client relations, project life cycles and a strong technical background in computer and automotive systems. He is a licensed Level II adjuster and has, through night classes and correspondence, nearly completed the Insurance Institute of Canada’s CIP program.

Jay and his wife Ola reside in Courtenay and they enjoy the outdoors and exploring the back roads of Vancouver Island. Jay, who has restored a 1972 Mustang and races a modified 1988 Mustang, is a strong supporter of organized drag racing as means to get young street racers off the street and into safe, organized and sanctioned events.
